Description

Description: A centrally acting muscle relaxant used for musculoskeletal pain relief.

Indication: Used to treat acute musculoskeletal pain and muscle spasms.

Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to chlorzoxazone, severe hepatic impairment, or active liver disease.

Mechanism of Action: Acts on the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain to reduce muscle spasticity and pain.

Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, and skin rash. Rare but serious side effects include hepatotoxicity and gastrointestinal bleeding.
