Overview

Clomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that induces ovulation in women with fertility issues.

Mechanism of Action

It blocks estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, increasing gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion, leading to higher follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels.
